Tech Elite Eye Greenland For Crypto-Gambling Autocracy

Threats against Greenland are intensifying, as a tech clique wants to turn the Arctic island into a dystopian wasteland.

According to the Financial Times, some tech elites are ramping up pressure for a U.S. seizure of Greenland to build a cryptocurrency-based society infused with cultish reverence for billionaires. Thousands of their toady followers could colonize the territory to build so-called “freedom cities.”

Along with crypto gambling at the heart of this “libertarian” fever dream would surely be so-called prediction markets.

These gambling platforms, backed by some of the same tech investors who want to ravage Greenland, aim to “financialize everything and create a tradable asset out of any difference in opinion,” as one of the nihilist CEOs put it recently.

The religion of this new Greenland would be probabilities laced with medieval levels of paranoia.

To accomplish this, there would need to be barbarism directed at the current inhabitants of Greenland, many of whom are indigenous. Some form of ethnic cleansing of the island’s 57,000 inhabitants if they resisted, which the U.S. has extensive experience with. Nearly 90% say they don’t want their land stolen by the U.S.

The pillage of Greenland could also include trashing the pristine landscape with AI data centers, space rocket launches, nuclear reactors, and “rare earth” mining.

The U.S. might offer bribes to cash-strapped Greenlanders, but all efforts would be made to recoup this money through various forms of consumerism and addiction. Greenlanders will end up poorer than before the invasion.

One giant frozen casino and strip mall ruled by the iron fist of tech ghouls.

Millions of dollars have already been bet on Polymarket about whether the U.S. will take some or all of the territory. Dystopia is nothing new, but things can get a lot worse.
